Lamborghini is a name to be reckoned with in the automobile world. This Italian car maker have designed and created cars which have been possessed by the crème de la crème of the world. The latest new design concept unfolded by Lamborghini has also created quite a stir among car lovers round the world.  The brand new Insecta design concept by Lamborghini is an eclectic blend of sleek looks and high speed design performance.

This Insecta concept was designed by Iuliam Bumbu, a Romanian automobile designer. As the name suggests this car has been to some extent inspired by insects. Some species of insects carry a sort of protective armor. This car from the Lamborghini stable recreates that protective shield for this Insecta sports car. This high performance sports car has an angular, yet fluid look. It superb design has been applauded by critics round the world. The scissor opening doors of car are inherent features of any Lamborghini car. Thus, the sweeping style of this car bears the quintessential trademark of Lamborghini but yet, there is some thing unique and fresh about the design of this car.

Since the dimensions of Lamborghini Insecta is quite similar to another popular car from the Lamborghini stable, the Lamborghini Gallardo it is quite natural that people will inevitably compare the two. Both the cars have the same length of 169 inches. Not only that, the engines fuelling both these super cars is the same V10 engine found in Gallardo which has 5.0 litre fuel capacity. But there are some fine discerning points which set the Lamborghini Insecta quite apart from the Lamborghini Gallardo. The Insecta has a much better and wider wheel base and a wider width which makes it a better design than the Gallardo as a sports car. The Insecta is an extremely lightweight car and to keep its weight under control some portions of the car has been built with especially made carbon fiber. Over all, this is a car which would woo seasoned sports car lovers very much.
