SoulArc, The Revolutionary New Skateboard Design

Some say longboarding is as close to having a “surf” feel as you can get. But recently SoulArc released a brand new skateboard with a rigid top and below-deck composite spring that provides the action and feel of surfing (and shredding). Mitch Mulder partnered with Salvaore Vilardi to bring the board to market. Check out the video after the jump…

    All of these companies that make the gadgety type boards don’t realise something.

    Surfing is elegantly simple. Thats why longboards are similar.

    I’ll second Jamis.

    To me, the perfect setup contains enough rough edges to make the ride interesting. Many of these boards, like that BMW skate a while back, attempt to engineer them out, leaving less room for expression.
