Earlier thoughts for a $100 laptop to be used by “One Laptop per Child”(OLPC) had started to deminish until early this year. Until Group leader, Nicholas Negroponte, brought up a new concept of a keyboardless, dual touch screen, tablet called the XO-2. The combo, computer and 8.9 inch dual touch screens have been estimated a higher price then Negroponte’s acclaimed $150 ticket price. One way OLPC would save enough money to possibly reach their goal of the price set, would be by using two inexpensive Synaptics touchscreens, used by big name companies such as Apple, Dell and Sony. Would you like to see if the XO-2 is just right for your home?
Your going to have to wait until 2012, for Negroponte’s acclaimed release date.
